Meet new friends, race, and share Camaro enthusiasm at the Pacific Northwest Camaro Club (PNWCC)

From drag racing to swap meets to car shows, the Pacific Northwest Camaro Club (PNWCC) of Seattle, Washington has much to offer Camaro fans of all interests. Camaro enthusiasts come together from all over the United States and Canada to celebrate this great muscle car that has roamed the streets for more than 40 years.

PNWCC is nicknamed the “Heartbeat of the Northwest” and has more than 250 members. It is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1987 to join together all Camaro enthusiasts. The club celebrates all four generations of Camaro models, dating from 1967 to 2002 when the final “fourth-generation” Camaro rolled off the assembly line.

One thing members notice right after joining is that PNWCC stays busy throughout the year with fun activities that appeal to all types of Camaro enthusiasts. There are barbecues, cruises, holiday parties, awards banquets, swap meets, club meetings, drag races, car shows, and more.

Joining PNWCC

Becoming a member of PNWCC offers many benefits. The club’s membership is open to anyone who loves Camaros. Members are not required to own a Camaro, only to have an interest. Annual dues for membership include the entire family. Also included with membership is a club newsletter that is sent to members on a bi-monthly schedule.

Members receive discounts with various suppliers and dealerships. They can also participate in events held by or attended by the club and meet other Camaro fans. The club already has many members who are quite knowledgeable about Camaro models and restorations, so new members can benefit from the tips of others.

Regular club meetings are held monthly on the last Saturday of the month. Members may view up-to-date meeting information at the club’s official website. To join, a membership application is provided from the website as well. It may be printed and mailed to the club office or sent by email.

PNWCC newsletter

A newsletter is provided to members, which includes messages from the President, treasurers’ reports, a review of club activities, up-to-date information about club events, announcements, tech tips, sponsors, and more.

Photo galleries at the Web site

PNWCC provides two extensive photo galleries at its website for members and visitors to view. One gallery has many great photos of members’ rides along with their restoration work. Visitors can see many different types of Camaros from every generation. The other photo gallery features pictures from club events over the years, including the Chevy Show 2004, the 7th Annual Camaro Show, the All Camaro Show, and others.

The All Camaro & Chevy Show

The All Camaro & Chevy Show is PNWCC’s own “all-Chevrolet” show where members and guests get to join for fun and exploring some fantastic cars. The show benefits local charities and features many cars (Camaros and other Chevys), delicious food, a silent auction for charity, many vendors selling merchandise, parts and whatever else, and door prizes. Special hotel rates are available at the website for those planning to attend a show.

Facing the challenge at the Car Club Challenge (CCC)

The Car Club Challenge (CCC) is an event where club members can meet for safe drag racing regulated by rules of the NHRA. The races take place throughout the year at various locations followed by an Awards Picnic to honor the top clubs and individual racers at the end of the season. Coaches are available to help beginners.

All that is required to race is a small entry fee and a street-legal car. Rules and regulations, the CCC schedule, and entry details can be found at the PNWCC website.

Other PNWCC events

PNWCC attends as many events as possible throughout the year. This gives members a chance to enjoy events and activities that fit their schedule. There are several car shows including the Portland Roadster Show, All Chevy Show, Seattle Roadster Show, Camaros in the Cellar, Hot Rod Sunday, Titus Will Chevrolet Show, Seattle Auto Show, and the Commons Show. Some swap meets the club attends include the High Desert Swap Meet, the Monroe Swap Meet, the Harvest Swap Meet, the Portland Swap Meet, and the GM Swap Meet.

The club also offers getaways for couples, barbecues, banquets, Christmas parties, cruises, and more. A complete schedule of annual events is provided at the club’s website.

PNWCC’s Web Store

At the club’s web store, merchandise is available for members only. Items available include club jackets with the logo and member’s name, t-shirts from the All Camaro Show, PNWCC embroidered patches, lapel pins, window clings, club logo t-shirts, and an official Indy Pace Car Book.

Buy and sell Camaro cars and parts

PNWCC offers classifieds and want ad sections at the website where members and visitors may place ads for Camaro cars and parts for sale, or wanted items. The ads may be submitted online for free as long as they are by a private party and not commercial. Ads for the club newsletter are available as well. The classifieds are a goldmine for the Camaro owner or restorer.

The club’s website also provides a resources section with links to other clubs, sponsors, and commercial websites.

There are many reasons for Camaro lovers to join PNWCC. With all the fun events and club activities, the club has something to offer every Camaro fan and their family, no matter what generation of Camaro they favor.
