Timeline of the Buick GS: Buick’s Muscle Cars (Part 2)
In last week's issue, we ran part 1 of this story, profiling Buick's Muscle cars through 1969. This week we conclude our story beginning in 1970.

Rev up those ‘Vettes at the River City Corvette Club in Hixson, Tennessee
The River City Corvette Club (RCCC) was originated in 1991 by a group of 12 Corvette owners who wanted to share their love for Corvettes with other enthusiasts. When Corvettes were first released, these cars mesmerized all who saw and bought them. Muscle car fans were thrilled with this new “hot rod” of their time. The cars were gorgeous and fast. They lived up to their reputation as a true sports car. RCCC members recognize how great these cars were and still are today.

Down through the Years at Pontiac
Throughout the years, the Pontiac nameplate has been one of the most popular. The company enjoys a long and storied history, starting in Oakland with the vision of two men – Edward Murphy, who wished to advance his Pontiac Buggy Company into the age of the automobile, and Alanson Brush, who had previously been responsible for designing the earliest Cadillac models. The two men met sometime around 1906, and by the time they met, both had established a business providing engineering consulting services in Detroit.
