BACK TO MAIN E-MAGAZINE INDEX

This is the Last issue of RodsandWheels eMagazine for 2009!

Thanks for joining us at RodsandWheels e-magazine all year long, and for being a regular reader. We, like most of you, are hoping for a great 2010 and with this in mind have developed a great deal of new content for the site next year. Please come back to see us, and we hope you enjoy this final 2009 issue.

One more look at the "Chevy".

This issue we look at the line-up of 1962 Chevy's. In 1962, Chevrolet released a full-sized car with sculptured styling, a jet-smooth ride, and plenty of room. This new, inexpensive car was offered in 12 distinguished models, with each series including Station Wagons.

Next, we take a look at yet another Mustang Club. (Yes we have found a number of them this year) :)

All Mustangs from today and the past are welcome at the Island Classic Mustang Club (ICMC) in Oak Harbor, Washington. Mustang fans can get together at this club for fun and exciting events and to meet others that share the same passion for these amazing cars.

Ford Mustangs have been loved by sports car fans for decades, starting with the very first pony cars produced during the mid-1960s all the way through modern day automobile production. The first Mustang models were based on the Ford Falcon and were marked by their sweeping hood, a short deck in the rear, and a sculpted flank. These remarkable fastbacks featured bucket seats, carpet, full wheel covers, a manual transmission with a floor-mounted gear shifter, and a padded dash. All in all, there have been five generations of the Ford Mustang, with various performance levels and designs. But many Mustang admirers love them all.

We hope you like the articles in this issue and that you will follow the links to the web site for thousands more articles and photos.

Until next Time,

See Ya Under the Hood,

1962 Chevrolet: Distinguished Styling and a Smooth Ride

Chevrolet Impala with Richly-Decorated Interiors The Impala, which was noted for its eloquence in Chevrolet's big car lineup, offered luxurious interiors and distinctive styling at a high resale value. Six choices including a four-door Sedan, a four-door, nine-passenger Station Wagon, a four-door, six-passenger Station Wagon, a Sport Sedan, a Convertible, and a Sport Coupe were available this year.

The Impala interiors, with beautiful color combinations of aqua, red, fawn, gold, blue and green, had an upholstery blend of richly patterned fabrics and soft leather-grain vinyl that was trimmed with deep-tufted squares and bight metal buttoning. The interior color combinations were keyed with 14 exterior color choices. For enhancing the beauty of the interior even more, there were bright metal end-trim on the front seat, deep-twist carpeting, and exclusive, fashioned steering wheel and instrument panel trim.
